CC Strikers Premier League advance to the 2nd Round of the Football NSW Tiger Turf Cup. Strikers v Inter Lions (Div.1 NSW State League) Wednesday 29th April at St Matthews. KO at 7.30pm Everybody welcome.! UPDATE: Inter Lions 2 def CC Strikers 1 A great effort by Strikers against last years State League Div.1 runners up. Strikers controlled long periods of the 1st half and at oranges led 1-0 thanks to a thundering free kick from outside the penalty box by forward Eric Talarico. Midway into the 2nd half Lions equalised via a penalty and after continuous pressure finally grabbed the lead with a well executed goal. That the Lions bench looked very relieved when the final whistle blew was a clear sign that our Strikers lads had given this State league side an awful big fright. Well played everyone. |
